The Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center (IMEC) was recognized for excellence in social media marketing communications by the Communicator Awards, a leading international awards program.
The IMEC program was created and implemented by Hot Potato Social Media, a social media and inbound marketing agency. The IMEC social media program included a blog, YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter profiles, as well as an integrated website (see image below).
The results of the social media marketing program included significant increases in website traffic, event registrations and search engine authority, as evidenced by such diagnostics as SEOmoz. The IMEC website and social media program promoted extensive live and virtual events, and supported launches including the Made In Ilinois program.
